Who funds Votr
We show you who funds every politician. Same rule, applied to ourselves.
Current funding
Votr is 100% founder-funded. No outside investors. No advertisers. No political organizations. No donors. Revenue features exist (voter premium), but founder funding is what keeps the lights on today.
Organizational backers
None. When any organization funds Votr, it appears here — the same way a politician’s backers appear on their page. An empty box is the point.
The rules we bound ourselves with
- No single revenue source may ever exceed 20% of total revenue; no category may exceed 40%. No funder can gain leverage through dependency.
- Advertising is a last resort. If it ever exists, it ships with a paid option to remove it and pre-published criteria for eliminating it.
- Pricing is uniform across political affiliations. Payment never influences scores — that separation is architectural, not policy.
- Civic information is never gated behind payment. Analytics are paid; information is free.
When Votr earns meaningful revenue, this page will show the mix against those caps.
